One of the highlights of our fishing program is the ability to fish remote mountain streams that are miles into the backcountry. These waters are lightly fished and hold good stocks of native cutthroat that love the dry fly. These are typically long days with up to an hour and a half drive through some spectacular scenery, followed by some hiking before you get to fish. These trips are tailored to the physical ability of the angler and are not for everyone.

These creeks fish great from late June through September. Golden Stoneflies, PMD’s, hoppers, and Green and Gray Drakes are the major hatches on these high mountain streams.

The scenery alone is worth taking a guided trip into the backcountry, the fishing is a bonus! Add fishing in solitude and you've got the classic fly fishing experience.
