On property and no more than two minutes drive from your cabin is Fish Creek, one of the major tributaries to the Snake River in the valley. We also have four springs that join Fish Creek within our boundaries. These provide a year round home for our native Snake Rive Fine Spotted Cutthroat ranging from 8-22 inches. Fishing on these spring creeks is only available to guests staying at the ranch.

All of the fishing on "the creeks" is done on foot and is often sight fishing to individual fish. Sometimes this requires casting from your knees or employing a roll cast to get the fly into a tight spot. These fish love dry flies, especially during a hatch. The best hatches are Blue Winged Olive’s in the spring and fall, Pale Morning Dun’s and Terrestrials in summer, and Midges during the winter.

Fish Creek and our other spring creeks really shine after rains that wash out all of the other rivers in the valley, because they remain clear and fishable. You'll be able to fish while others will have to wait for another day!
